Jeff Stroud, age 55 of Salem, passed away at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana on Monday, November 2, 2020. Jeff was born on August 16, 1965 in Salem, the son of Stanley and Leota (Brown) Stroud. He married Melinda Johnson in Salem on September 5, 1992 and she survives in Salem. In addition to his wife, Melinda Stroud, he is survived by one son, Ian Stroud and wife Rhiannon of Farina; one daughter, Amy Stroud of Salem; three sisters, Kathryn Black and husband Floyde of Mt. Vernon, Sandra Button and husband Fred of Las Vegas and Janet York and husband Doug of Springfield; mother-in-law, Mary Johnson of Odin; brother-in-law, Stephen Johnson and wife Jennifer of Odin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Beverly Stroud; and father-in-law, David Johnson Jr. Jeff was a member of First Christian Church in Salem. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family. He was employed as the Supply Supervisor at the Lawrence Correctional Center. Funeral Services for Jeff Stroud will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at First Christian Church in Salem with Phil Martin officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the church.
