Dan R. Easley, age 65 of Salem, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Dan was born on February 27, 1955 in Centralia, the son of Kenneth and Lois (Miller) Easley. He married Dawnetta Jones on September 5, 1981 in Alma and she survives in Salem. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Lois Easley of Salem; daughter, Morgan Welch of Terre Haute, IN; brother, Mike Easley and wife Lynn of Salem; two grandchildren, Linkin Welch and Maddox Welch; brother-in-law, Jim Jones and wife Susan of Salem, Shari Shanafelt and husband Ron of Granite City and Barbara Ambuehl of Salem. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth and his grandfather, Willard Easley. Dan retired from Walgreens Distribution Center in Mt. Vernon. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Mark Copley officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 until 1:00 at the funeral home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing is encouraged and crowd size will be limited to 50 people at a time inside the funeral home. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be received at the funeral home.
