Obituary of Raymond D. Foutch
Raymond “Ed” Foutch, age 81 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Ed was born on July 13, 1939 in Wamac, the son of Andrew and Oma (Lowry) Foutch. He married Lora (Curry) Foutch on January 29, 2000 in Brownstown, and she survives in Salem.
In addition to his wife, Lora, he is survived by one son, Kenny Foutch and wife Debbe of Salem; three step-sons, Daron Rigdon and wife Mel of Brownstown, Derek Rigdon and wife Cheryl of Brownstown, and John Lansford and wife Debbie of Imperial, MO; two granddaughters, Amy Zemler and husband Jason of Prattville, AL, and Kendra Foutch of Salem; one grandson, Andrew Foutch and wife Jennifer of Oklahoma; three great-granddaughters, Lyla Longman, Lyla Zemler, and Lucy Zemler; one great-grandson, Jackson Zemler; two special nephews, Andy Foutch, and Rick Foutch; several nieces and nephews; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; one brother, David Foutch and wife Deann of Centralia; and two sisters, Amy Tucker of Centralia and Donnie Wooters of Glenridge.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leo, Buddy, and Sonny; one sister, Lola Castellari; and one step-son, Wyatt Lansford.
Ed attended the United Methodist Church. He was employed with the Illinois Central Railroad for 23 years. He then went to work for Rockwell in Centralia, retiring after 18 years. He was member of the United Auto Workers Union. He loved the water and his boat, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed going to flea markets, going out to eat and being around people.
Funeral Services for Raymond “Ed” Foutch will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Pastor Lora Foutch officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm at the Griffith Cemetery in Brownstown. Memorials can be made to the Salem Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
