Lila Jane Owens, age 67 of Centralia, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. Lila was born on February 13, 1957 in Salem, Illinois the daughter of Alfred and Gladys (Short) Woodward. She married Michael “Mike” Owens on May 27, 1976 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and together they shared 48 years united in marriage. Survivors include her husband, Mike Owens of Centralia; children, Kevin Owens of Centralia and Crystal Taylor of Centralia; grandchildren, Micheal Owens and wife Alicia, Cheyenne Crawford and significant other Seneca Jones and McKenzie Crawford and fiancé Jordan Young; great grandchildren, Raegen, Nora, and Easton Young, Jayda Jones, Jaxon Jones, Layken Owens, Camdyn Branon and Holdyn Branon; and a sister, Faye. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Gladys; a daughter, Angela Mansker, and several siblings. Lila worked for 20 years at Little Fuse in Centralia, and then worked for 10 years at SWAN. Funeral services for Lila Jane Owens will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Noon at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. There will be a visitation on Monday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
