Wilda J. Church, age 77 of Salem, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Salem Township Hospital. Wilda was born on January 11, 1947 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of William and Vada (Schaeffer) Neabuhr. She married Delmar Church on March 24, 1972 in Irvington, Illinois and together they spent 52 years united in marriage. Survivors include her husband, Delmar Church of Salem; daughter, Sharon Bryan and husband John; brother, Ivan Neabuhr of Irvington; sister, Linda Neabuhr of Irvington; four grandchildren, Cheyanne, Ashley, Brittany, and Montana; two great grandsons; a nephew, Paul Neabuhr; and a great niece, Sydni Neabuhr. Wilda was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willam and Vada; a brother, Marvin Neabuhr; and a great grandson. Wilda retired from Meridian Rockwell after working for 33 years. She had a passion for horses, and together her and her husband Delmar traveled five states barrel racing. Graveside services for Wilda J. Church will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Fouts Cemetery in Irvington with Roy Koduvalil officiating.
