Obituary of Norma Hostetter
Norma Hostetter, age 91 of Mattoon, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Norma was born on March 25, 1933 in Paradise Township the daughter of John and Mary (Major) King.
She is survived by her children, Sheri Redfern and husband Don of Mattoon, John Ebie and wife Candy of Mattoon, and Mary Hall and husband David of Mattoon; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Brenda Vance and Cindy Ebie; an infant son, Michael; two sisters; and a niece.
Norma was a faithful member of the Apostolic Center in Mattoon. She enjoyed reading, gardening, her grandkids and her dogs. She worked for Associated Spring Factory for 25 years and then became a nurse and worked at various nursing homes until her retirement.
A Celebration of Life Service for Norma Hostetter will be held at Noon on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the Apostolic Center in Mattoon with Pastor Shine Doughty officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery in rural Mattoon.
