Helen L. Clark, age 82 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at her home with her family at her side. Helen was born on October 22, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Gilford Lynn Sr. and Louella (Keeton) Lynn. She married Rudolph J. “Rudy” Clark on March 7, 1969 in Joliet and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2020. Survivors include her children, Michael Clark, Sharon Mitchell, and Tracie Cole; grandchildren, Jenna Cole, Tyler Cole, Jeremy Clark, and Michael Clark Jr.; great-grandson, Zayden Clark; sister, Tressie Fodero; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilford and Louella; husband, Rudy; son, Stevie; daughter, Amy Clark; grandson, Daniel; brothers, Gilford Lynn Jr. and Ted “Lucky” Lynn; and sister, Mary Lou Lynn. Helen worked as a bailiff for the Will County Courthouse in Joliet for 17 and a half years, and the Marion County Courthouse in Salem for 9 and a half years, until her retirement. There will be no services held. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
