Vicki JoAnn Taylor, age 81 of Salem passed away on Sunday September 13, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Vicki was born on May 21, 1939 in Oklahoma, daughter of Victor George and Florence Mabel (Davis) Slavick. She married Robert Eugene “Bob” Taylor on July 29, 1962 in Laverne, Oklahoma and he survives in Salem. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Joni Alison Taylor and fiancé Dave Modde of St. Louis; sons, John Robert Taylor and wife Christine of Henderson, NV; James William Taylor and wife Esther of Hoyleton, IL; brother, Rudy Slavick of Austin, TX; and grandchildren, Megan, Jackson, Sandra, and Thomas Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James and William Slavick. Vicki retired as the Assistant Vice President of Community State Bank in Salem. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling and animals. Funeral services for Vicki JoAnn Taylor will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Crouse Funeral Home with Phil Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private burial will be held Friday at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School or the Alzheimer’s Association and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
