Obituary of Faith Marie Evans
Faith Marie Evans, 56, of Alma, peacefully passed away on December 9, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Born on May 12, 1967, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Faith was the cherished daughter of Roger and Darlene (Ziems) Reynolds. She married Harvey Evans IV on July 11, 1987, in Alma, Illinois, and they enjoyed 36 years of marriage.
Surviving her are her beloved husband, Harvey Evans IV of Alma; her mother, Darlene Reynolds of Arizona; three children—Lauren Nugent and husband Ryan of Manteno, Illinois; Harvey Evans V and fiancé Faith Meyer of Alma; and Haydn Evans and fiancé Madison Smith of Alma. Faith was a devoted grandmother to Lillian, Maggie, Grace, and Harvey VI. She is also survived by her brother, Roger Reynolds, and wife Kim of Salem, and a sister, Heather Lewis, and husband Charlie of Peshtigo, Wisconsin. Numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends also mourn her passing.
Preceding her in death were her father, Roger; sister, Cindy; and grandparents, Norbert and Elsie Ziems.
Faith, alongside her husband Harvey, co-owned Produce Plus in Salem since 1989, along with a 25-year career as a hairstylist. A pillar of strength for her family, Faith was a devoted mother and one of the founding members of the Hungry Hearts Program in Salem. Actively involved in her community, she served as the past president of the Salem Swordfish Swim Team. Faith's love for the beach and Cardinals Baseball was evident in her annual trips to Jupiter, Florida, during the Cardinals' Spring Training.
A Celebration of Life service for Faith Marie Evans will be held at Salem Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mike Feldmann. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the start of the service. Memorial contributions in Faith's honor can be made to the Hungry Hearts Program, and will be accepted at the church or Crouse Funeral Home, entrusted with the family's arrangements.
