It is with a heavy heart that the family of Patricia Marlene Farthing of Odin, wish to inform everyone that she has been called home to Christ our Savior on November 20, 2023. Patty was born on March 21, 1953 in Salem the daughter of Richard and Doris (Donoho) Githens. She married Jerald “Jerry” Allen Farthing on September 24, 1994 and he survives in Odin. In addition to her husband, Jerry; she is survived by her sister, Peggy Hallam and family; daughters, Wendy Lenz and husband James and Melody Blek and husband Mieszko; and her grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah, Joshua, Natalia, Luciana, and Aiden. She was preceded in death by her parents. Patty was a loving and caring mother to her daughters and family. She was strong and independent. Patty dedicated 37 years to UPS, serving Mt. Vernon and Carlyle areas, always excelling in her duties. She enjoyed travel and adventure. She was the heart of her family who enjoyed events and fun activities with her grandchildren. Patty was devoted to her Lord, with whom she anxiously awaits her loved ones. Patty will be greatly missed. A private celebration of Patty’s life will be held at a later date. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family.
