Donnie Lynn Johnson, age 76 of Texico, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his home. Donnie was born on November 5, 1946 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Leonard and Ethel (Pringle) Johnson. He married Wilma (Rude) Johnson on July 18, 1964 in Bois D’Arc, MO and together they spent 59 years united in marriage. Survivors include his wife Wilma Johnson of Texico; two sons, Frank Johnson, and Donnie Johnson; seven grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Wendy Johnson, Bradley Johnson and wife Elisha, Brandy Johnson, Shannon Nowak-Johnson and significant other Blake, Timothy Johnson and significant other Cheyenne, and Emily Johnson; eight great grandchildren, Drake, Ian, Sophia, Breanna, Dayla, Brody, Cash, and Haylee; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and a brother. Donnie had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved and will be dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and his fur babies Max and Gracie. He was a long-time member of the Panther Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He worked for 30 years on the CN railroad. Private family services were held.
