Sorry to hear this after my brother forwarded this to me today. I remember Larry from when he pastored in Odin. I would go to church there with my grandparents when I would visit them from Texas. Larry left an impression on a somewhat wild and long-haired kid at the time and I remember talking to him at the front of the church bus all the way to St. Louis when we were heading to the zoo one time. We talked about life and old cars since that is what I liked and he had an interest as well. Anyway, he is one of the few pastors I have had a connection with in life especially at a time that I was running from God and chasing the world. My only exposure to church at the time was when I visited my grandparents or maybe went with a friend from school. Larry was a real guy that could relate to a wild teenager and treated me with respect even though I’m sure he knew just how wild I was. He ended up baptizing me in 86 (I think) at the same time he baptized my younger brother. Anyway, I went on to chase the world for several years after that until God got ahold of me in the mid-90’s through His word and others He brought into my life. Larry planted seeds in a crazy teenagers life that later led to a saved life and more fruit. Praying for Larry’s family in this time and season. I know he will be missed.

Janet and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Larry was a wonderful man and minister who will not be forgotten. I went to Bloom church back when he was our minister. God really blest his life in so many ways, and He was loved by so many of us. I know he had some rough times too, but with the help of God, he overcame them. Rest in Peace, Larry. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. Hugs for your family

Well done good and faithful servant of the Lord. From Larry's heart flowed his love for his Lord and for others. Never met a man more caring and loving of others than Larry. He studied hard and knew God's Word so well that is became just like breathing to him. Larry walked beside others in this journey on earth and shared the "secret" to his joy and peace. His ministry touched countless lives and even led the way for several other men to become preachers themselves. Free at last from all earthly health concerns and forever in glory with His Savior and loved ones. We are praying for his family and countless friends. .
