Jackie D. Lyons, age 66 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Jackie was born on March 9, 1957 in Salem, Illinois, the son of Jack Lyons and Doris (Quick) Lyons Haislar. He married Terri (Byars) Lyons in February 2001 in Salem; Illinois and she survives in Salem. Survivors include his wife, Terri; three children, Jacob Byars and special friend Kassie Frazier of Salem, Ashlee Lyons and fiancé Charles Murphy of Salem, and Zachary Lyons and special friend Brittany McKinzie of Mulberry Grove, Illinois; grandchildren, Ryder Lyons, Payton Ballard, and Olley Lyons; brother, Richard Lyons and wife Valerie of Salem; nieces and nephews, Chad Burge and wife Michelle of Belleville and Kristie Felgenhauer and husband Steve of Salem; and four great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his ex-wife, Cindy Lyons Corrie. Jackie worked for over 40 years at Radiac in Salem. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also had a love for NASCAR, dirt track racing, and muscle cars. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem from 5:00-7:00p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
