Joseph Patrick Miraglia, age 33, of Salem, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 in Rockford, Illinois. Joseph was born on June 14, 1990 in Elmhurst, Illinois, the son of John Phillip Miraglia and Maureen (Fordyce) Watkins. Survivors include his mother, Maureen Watkins and husband Chris of Salem; father, John Miraglia of Indiana; siblings, Matt Miraglia of Salem, Nicole Miraglia of Salem, Ashley Watkins of Salem, Christopher Watkins Jr. of Salem, Danene Quigley of Wisconsin, John Miraglia Jr. of Willmington, Illinois, Amy Demillo of Mt Morris, Illinois, Jamie Fox of St. Charles, Illinois, Jimmy Miraglia of Indiana, and Ryan Miraglia of Griffin, Indiana; grandparents, Robert Fordyce of Elmhurst, Illinois and Jan Fordyce of Missouri; aunts, Charlene Lacasse of Elgin, Illinois, Janice Fordyce of Jefferson City, MO, and Colleen Fordyce- Favela of Naperville, Illinois; his girlfriend Heather Garrett of Fairfield; and best friend, Travis McCool of Rockford. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and was awaiting the birth of his son, Anthony. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Jennifer Fordyce- Sands. Joseph worked for UCBM and did some carpentry work on the side. He had a love for music, but especially loved spending time with his family. Joseph was known for his heart of gold and his desire to help anyone in need. Celebration of Life services for Joseph Patrick Miraglia will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. There will be a time to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to a fund being set up for his son Anthony.
