Sandra Jourdan, age 79 of Kell, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Sandra was born on April 11, 1944 in Marion County, Illinois, the daughter of Ed and Ann (Quandt) Daniels. She married Charles “Junior” Jourdan and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, Junior of Kell; three sons, Marty Jourdan of Kell, Randy Jourdan and wife Kim of Salem, and Rusty Jourdan and wife Lisa of Salem; grandchildren, Kyle Jourdan, Amber Jourdan, Brittany Jourdan, Ashley Cornett, Katy Myers, Annie Slover, Amanda Jourdan, Nick Savin, Michael Owens, Kaleb Bryant, and Rhea Hutchings; sixteen great grandchildren, brothers and sisters in-law, Lucille Milner and husband Larry, Rosetta Runyon, Geneva Richards and husband Lowell, Laverne Jourdan and wife Kayla, and Bobby Jourdan and wife Norma; and a close family friend Brandy Drenckpohl. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter in-law, Debbie Kay Jourdan; and a brother in-law, Bill Runyon. Sandra retired from the molding department at N.A.L. after working there for 16 years. One of her favorite things was riding horses. She also enjoyed roller skating, bowling and arranging flowers. Celebration of life services for Sandra Jourdan will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Bill Cash officiating. There will be a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
