Wade Featherston

Obituary of Wade Everett Featherston

Wade Everett Featherston, 37, of Salem, Illinois, left this world unexpectedly, on July 5, 2023. He was born October 29, 1985 to Kenneth and Patricia Featherston. Wade will always be remembered as a thrill seeker. At a young age he fell in love with the rodeo, from there he began racing four wheelers and motorcycles. Some of the locals may even remember him throwing sparks off of his soles as he would jump off his motorcycle while going down the highway. His love for thrills, motorcycles, and dogs continued throughout his life. He was also a natural at welding and drawing art. It’s no secret, Wade caused many grey hairs and heartaches over the years for both family and friends. However, the trademark smile of the gentle giant would win your heart over and that will always be remembered. Wade is survived by his son, Cayden J. Featherston; his siblings, Leanna Evans and Taylor Featherston; his parents, Kenneth and Patricia Featherston; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding Wade in death are his maternal grandparents, Everett and Imogene Hammond as well as his paternal grandparents, Harold and Wanda June Featherston. The family hopes that you will share your stories and make his memories eternal at the funeral service being held at 3:00 p.m. on July 8, 2023 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Father Nicholas officiating. There will be a visitation on Saturday at the funeral home from Noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to his son Cayden Featherston (checks payable to Patty Featherston) and will be received at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.CrouseFH.com.
