Obituary of Carolyn F. Abshier
Carolyn F. Abshier, age 73 of Salem, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
Carolyn was born on May 4, 1950 in Boyd, the daughter of Dwight and Bernice (Simmons) Hopkins.
Survivors include her two sons, Lee Owens and wife Cinda of Salem and Jim Owens and wife Starla of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Koltt Owens, Coty Owens, Caden Owens, Kami Owens, Katie Owens, Kim Wiedemer, Courtney Rogers, Jaden Stockdale and wife Courtney, and Gavin Stockdale; and four great-grandchildren, Oliver, Caroline, Stella, and Wilder.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In keeping with Carolyn’s wishes there will be no public services. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family.
