Obituary of Jeanette G. Carter

Jeanette “Jane” G. Carter, age 82 of Alma, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Salem Township Hospital in Salem. Jeanette was born on May 24, 1940 in Kinmundy, Illinois, the daughter of Roley and Edna (Crane) Brimberry. She married Marvin R. Carter on December 19, 1959 and he survives in Alma. Survivors include her husband, Marvin; children, Judy Ogden and husband John of Millbrook, Alabama, Vicky Vogel of Tuscola, Gary Moore and wife Yaneth of Panama, Rev. Joseph Carter and wife Angela of Tuscola, and Melissa Jill Logue and husband Kenny of Tuscola; grandchildren, Holly and Shawn Ogden, Scott and Steven Vogel, Christopher, Michael, Jency, and Ashley Moore, Tasha Mauzy, Tiffany Wilson, Kristin Moretti, and Benjamin Logue, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Jeanette and her husband Marvin also fostered many children throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Jordan Rhodes, three sisters, and four brothers. Jeanette was a homemaker. She loved her children and family and cherished her time spent with them. She loved to play BINGO, read books and watch movies. She was a member of the Alma Christian Church. Celebration of Life services for Jeanette G. Carter will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alma Christian Church with Randy VanAusdall officiating. There will be a time to visit with the family from 1:00p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alma Christian Church and can be left at the church or sent to Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
