Timothy L. Whelchel, age 43 of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Timothy was born on January 10, 1980 in Salem, Illinois the son of Edward and Katherin (Watson) Whelchel. Survivors include his parents, Edward and Katherin of Patoka; siblings, Kristy Beasley Skurat and wife Annette of Centralia, Jessica Durham of Sevierville, TN, and Nicholas Whelchel of Patoka; and sixteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew. Timothy worked in the St. Louis area as a Pharmacy Tech. He was the treasurer of RUDIS in St. Louis. Timothy was a cherished member of the community and helped raise funds for various groups in St. Louis. There will be Celebration of Life service on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with a time of sharing for friends and family at 4:00 p.m. There will be a time to visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
