Obituary of Lori Lynn Cannon

Lori Lynn (Hall) Cannon, age 52 of Iuka, entered into Heaven and the presence of our Savior at 4:19 pm on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at her home with her family and friends by her side. Lori was born on December 28, 1970 in Decatur the daughter of Bruce and Gloria (Boaz) Hall. She married Troy Cannon on May 21, 2019 in Savannah, Georgia and he survives in Iuka. Surviving are her parents, Bruce and Gloria of rural Vandalia; husband, Troy; sons, Nathan Storm and wife Katherin of Iuka, Zachary Storm of Finley, Jeremy Cannon of Iuka, Trevor Cannon of Centralia, and Levi Brubaker of Salem; five grandchildren, Gabriel and Tyler Storm and Lenox, Kye, and Jameson Storm, along with several other grandsons and one granddaughter; brothers, Kevin Hall and wife Andi of Vandalia and Brandon Hall and wife Cindy of O’Fallon, MO; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Katherine Boaz and Mable Hall. Lori was a Nurse, most recently with SSM as an office provider. She also served as Chief Deputy Coroner alongside her husband at the Marion County Coroner’s Office. Lori lived out Proverbs 31, being virtuous, strong, and selfless. She was full of faith, courage, determination, was a warrior, and was an inspiration to anyone she ever came into contact with. Lori had a strong love of music and she could often be found leading worship or singing special music in churches she attended. Most recently she was a member of Iuka General Baptist Church. Lori loved her family so much, she was a wonderful daughter, wife, mom, nana, sister, aunt, and friend. Her grandchildren were her world. Lori lived every moment of her life to the fullest, with the understanding that “Either way, I win”. Celebration of Life services for Lori Cannon will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Iuka General Baptist Church in Iuka with Pastor Tracy Bennet officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of the service. A First Responder, Law Enforcement, and Nurse walkthrough will be held immediately preceding the service at 11:00 am. A final memorial will be placed at Boaz Cemetery in rural Vandalia at a later date. Memorials can be made to the family or American Family Radio and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
