Erma Davis, age 74 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Helia Healthcare of Salem. She was born on May 10, 1948 in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Howard and Ruth (Mulvaney) Owens. Survivors include her son, Stacey Chapman of Centralia; daughter, Tammy Chapman of St. Louis; brother, Dewayne Owens and wife Kathy of Odin; sisters, Renee Owens and Patty Creamer both of Salem; grandchildren, William Chapman and wife Courtney; great grandchildren, Kysen, Kaileb, and Kinslea. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Norma Jean Owens; brothers, Randall, Melvin Leroy, and John Ray Owens; sisters, Vickie Owens Logan, Brenda Molenhour, and Carolyn Hoffman. Erma was a member of the Brown Chirstian Church in Kinmundy. She loved her friends and family. She enjoyed putting puzzles together and playing bingo. She also loved to go sing and dance at karaoke. Funeral services for Erma Davis will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Noon at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Judes Children’s Hospital and will be received at the funeral home.
