Obituary of Anna Elliott
Anna Elliott, age 90, of Salem, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Salem Township Hospital.
Anna was born on April 20, 1932 in Salem, the daughter of Raymond and Louise (Young) Kirgan. She married Berthal Elliott on September 18, 1948 and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her five daughters, Carolyn Hammons of Salem, Barbara Neal and husband Dale of Salem, Wanda Nix and husband Danny of Salem, Tracy Richie and husband Todd of Salem, and Tina Moses and husband Ron of Kinmundy; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leroy Kirgan of Florida, David Kirgan of Streator, and Ray Kirgan and wife Una of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, several brothers and sisters, and two grandsons, Coty Richie and Marty Phillips.
Anna owned and operated Midwest Feed Store for many years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Salem. One of her favorite hobbies was going bowling.
Funeral Services for Anna Elliott will be held at Noon on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until Noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Church Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Bethlehem Cemetery, or the Wounded Warriors Project and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
