Louise M. Rose, age 91 of Kinmundy, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Louise was born on December 16, 1931 in Marion County the daughter of Avery and Lettie (Young) Branch. She married Russell Rose on February 8, 1951 in Mt. Vernon, and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1997. She is survived by two sons, Randy Rose of Iuka and Rodney Rose and wife Sami Jo of Kinmundy; three daughters, Diane Sill of Odin, Debbie Peterson and husband Bill of Kinmundy, and Lori Doolen of Kinmundy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Raymond Branch and Lewis Branch. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Rickey Russell Rose and David Rose; and siblings, Cecil Branch and Lester Branch. Louise was a member of Lovells Grove Christian Church in Omega. She was past president of the Kinmundy Lions Club and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Louise worked as a homemaker and for her brother at Branch Shoe Gallery. Funeral services for Louise Rose will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Roy Koduvalil officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lovells Grove (1880) Cemetery in Omega. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Lovells Grove Christian Church or Cemetery, or to the Omega One Room School and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
