Rochelle Baity, age 97 of Flora, formerly of Salem passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Flora Gardens Care Center. Rochelle was born on June 18, 1925 in Salem, the daughter of Cyrus and Flossie (Short) Alderson. On July 12, 1941 she married Orville Baity in Salem, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Wyman and husband Howard of Xenia; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Baity of Wayne City; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Danny Baity; and sisters, Effie Roddy, Juanita Curry, and Dorothy Ryan. Rochelle worked for Brown Shoe Company and as a homemaker. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church. Funeral Services for Rochelle Baity will be held at Noon on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Lora Foutch officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery in Salem.
