Scott Luallen, age 70 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at his home in Salem. Scott was born on October 18, 1950 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Duane E. and Betty Anne (Joines) Luallen. He married Donna K. (Beets) Luallen on May 21, 1974 in Salem, Illinois and she preceded him in death on July 17, 2018. Survivors include two sons, Jacob Luallen and wife Sarah of Johnson City, TN and Justin Luallen of Salem; daughter, Erin Luallen and husband Kaleb of Salem; three grandchildren, Bronwyn Schulte, Shade Luallen, and Teeghen Luallen; sister, Beth Hoffman and husband Kent of Vandalia. Scott was an Elder at Evergreen Christian Church for many years. He retired from World Color Press in Salem. In his younger years he worked as an EMT. Funeral services for Scott Luallen will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Salem. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 until the time of the service. Masks and social distancing will be encouraged. Masks will be available upon request.
