Victoria Ann Gaines, age 86 of Salem, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Ann was born on February 19, 1936 in Dickinson, Alabama the daughter of Carl and Eleanor (Lindsey) Carlson. She married David Gaines on March 24, 1956 in Lansing, Michigan and he survives in Salem. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Doug Gaines and wife Lori of Worden, IL, Elizabeth Bruggen and husband Karl of West Chester, OH, and Rebecca Jackson and husband Daniel of Brentwood, TN; thirteen grandchildren, Courtney, Erica, Matthew, Keegan, Kaylee, Connor, Eric, Joel, Seth, Ryan, Evan, Anna, and Will; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Kirk Gaines and Matthew Gaines. Ann was of the Christian Faith. She was a dedicated farmer’s wife and loving mother. She enjoyed being a homemaker, liked to sew, quilt, and birdwatch. Visitation for Ann Gaines will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem from 10:00 am until Noon with a short memorial service following. Memorial contributions can be made to Alive Hospice of Tennessee and will be received at the funeral home.
