Gwendolyn Grace Overbeck, age 83 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation in Salem. Gwendolyn was born on August 5, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Warren and Gwendolyn (McDonald) Inglis. She married John Paul Overbeck on August 10, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois and he preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Deborah Circone of Hackettstown, NJ, John Overbeck and wife Jodi of Downers Grove, IL, and Kim Hays and husband Kenny of Salem; grandchildren, Kelli Hays, Erica Duchemin, Kyle Hays, Kristin Donoho, Olivia Brown, and Griffin Overbeck; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Gwendolyn retired as a bookkeeper with Walmart. She was of the Catholic Faith, member of the Salem Elks Club and the Salem Country Club. Private Celebration of Life service will be held in November at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Private burial will be held at Paradise Cemetery.
