I remember in 1999 when I started working at Salem Township hospital, I worked many shifts, The day I recognized the last name Shanafelt, my heart melted. You were my link back to my heritage, I learned so much from you from family genetics and the family tree to teaching me and inspiring my nursing. This September 30, 2022 marks 30 years as a Certified Nurse Assistant. I also recently learned of another family member whom just passed also was a CNA, so this tells me it flows through the Shanafelt blood. I pray you have Peace Miss Ellen, I thank you sooo much for what you did for me in my 12 years at STH, I hope that you found peace and had a peaceful departure from this Earth. I hope you and Brother Bill Price enjoy watching over all of us here on Earth. You will be Greatly Missed by all who knew you and loved you as you were a pocket of joy and smiles each day I saw you at work. I don't remember a day that you had a frown. Rest in Peace dear cousin!
