Judy Lynn Moore, age 79 of Herrin, formerly of Salem, passed away on September 10, 2020 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. Judy was born on December 18, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Carl and Fern (Stammel) Deibel. She married Forrest “Gene” Moore in 1965 and he preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Dennis “Moe” Moore and fiancé Renee Brock of Benton; granddaughter, Cailah Heinrich and husband Anthony of Benton; and great-granddaughter, Halle Kate Heinrich. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Judy was of the Lutheran Faith. She worked for the Visiting Nurses Association in Centralia and later worked as a desk clerk for Super 8 in Salem. While in her later years she enjoyed Bingo, crafts, and Bible study. A chapel service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Louisville Memorial Gardens in Louisville, KY. Entombment will follow the service. A visitation will be on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
