William J. “Bill” Hallett, age 72 of Kinmundy, Passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Odin Healthcare Center in Odin. William was born on September 14, 1949 in Buffalo, New York, the son of L.E. Villiaume II and E.R. Jaeckle. He married Sandra K. (Haught) Hallett on June 24, 1987 in Centralia, IL and she survives in Kinmundy. Survivors include his wife, Sandra; children, Jae Hallett and wife Shamain of GA, Renee Lucy and husband Bill of Richview, Jamie Claybaugh of Kinmundy, and John W. Claybaugh of CO; grandchildren, Weston, Christina, Liam, Chiara, Jenny, Patricia, and Kaylene; great granddaughters, Aviana and Natalie, and a great grandson, Alexander, who Bill and Sandra raised from birth. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, L.E. Villiaume III, and a great granddaughter, Aribella. Bill loved his family and was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He retired in 2001 as a machinist at Big 3 Precision Products. He loved to travel and read. Celebration of life services for William Hallett will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kinmundy Fire Dept. or the St. Louis Shriners Hospital and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
