Obituary of Henry Dale Pitts
Henry Dale Pitts, age 86 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Twin Willows Nursing Center in Salem.
Henry was born on January 13, 1936 at home in Raccoon Township, Marion County, Illinois the son of Marvin L. and Anna Virginia (Hays) Pitts.
He is survived by his brother, Gene Pitts and wife Jessie; sister, Sherry Arnold and husband Don; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pauline Hawley and husband David; and two brothers, Dwight Pitts and wife Marie and Paul Ray Pitts and wife Elaine.
Henry loved a good game of checkers, which he usually won. He also enjoyed working in the garden.
At Henry’s request he will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Paradise Cemetery in Salem. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
