Penny Sue Crow, age 55 of Salem, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Penny was born on July 23, 1966 in Decatur, the daughter of George Sills and Delores Herrington. She is survived by her mother, Delores Herrington of Alma; daughter, Brittany Crow of Salem; sister, Cathy Fortner and husband Wayne of Herrin; brother, Phillip Sills of Alma; and grandchildren, Myla Hess, Karson Hess, and Penelope Hess. She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Brenda Sills; and grandchildren, Aiden Hess, Adalyn Hess, and Oliver Hess. Penny worked as a Manager at Denny’s in Salem for many years. She loved spending time with her grandbabies and always went out of her way to help others. There will be no public services. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
