Robert Albert Behrens, age 66 of Iuka, passed away at his home on Monday, December 13, 2021. Robert was born on September 19, 1955 in Murphysboro, the son of Albert Herman and Dorothy Caroline (Luehr) Behrens. He is survived by his fur baby, Roscoe; feathered babies, Pretty Bird and Tweety; sister, Debra Albert and husband Gary of Alma; nieces, Crystal Behrens and boyfriend Josh Stull and Sondra Albert and husband Richard; great-niece, Elizabeth Eca; and great-nephew, William Eca. He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He worked as the Assistant Manager for Green’s IGA in Murphysboro for many years, and then as a machine operator for Tuck/Tesa Tape in Carbondale until he became disabled. He enjoyed cooking, flowers, gardening, and spending time with his babies. A private family service will be held for Robert Albert Behrens. Memorial contributions can be made to the Family or to the Salem Animal Shelter and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family.
