Larry Groff, age 67 of Sandoval, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his granddaughter’s home in Salem. Larry was born on July 7, 1954 in Centralia, IL the son of William and Nancy Jane Groff. He married Nancy (Gallitin) Groff and she survives in Sandoval. Survivors include his wife; grandchildren, Cheyanne Groff Owens and fiancé Josh of Salem and Adam Groff of Sandoval; great grandchildren, Alice Owens and Scarlett Roedl; and siblings, Gayla Duncan, Jim Groff and Lyle Talbert all of Odin, Wilma Johnson of Benton, Bill Groff of Nashville, Cindy Shopinski of Walnut Hill, Jimmy Groff of Centralia, and Robert and Jody Groff of Vandalia. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Shawn Groff Larry worked for many years for the Marion County Highway Department. Private celebration of life services will be held at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Memorial contributions can be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
