Dear Kagy’s,
I have fond memories of the times we spent at your house when young. The farm, barn, horses, sulkies, indoor plumbing and bread and butter with Karo syrup made time spent there extra special. Of course it was the people there that really made it extraordinary. You were always welcoming and fun to be with and we know that those great qualities came from your parents. Aunt Bette was an extraordinary woman well ahead of the times. Girls and women in the 1940’s rarely attended college, especially those from single parent families. Bette was too bright not to attend college and take up the undervalued profession of an educator. Aunt Bette was kind and generous. I know my parents loved coming to visit and sit around the house engaging in intelligent and fun conversation. I hope that the great memories of childhood, and later as adult children of such a special woman bring you peace during this difficult time. In closing I am truly sorry that I didn’t hear of Bette’s passing in time to attend services. I certainly would have been there to share those sentiments in person.
Love and peace to you all- Danny Neumann
