Obituary of Melvin Edward Donoho

Melvin Edward Donoho, age 83 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Salem Township Hospital. Melvin was born on July 22, 1937 in Odin, Illinois, the son of Harvey and Ada Marie (Sands) Donoho. He married Frances Parrish on July 23, 1958 in Alma, Illinois and she preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Deborah Prince and husband Bill of Texico, Beverly Easley of Bluford, Brian Donoho and wife Deanne of Salem, and Kelly Stanley and husband Gary of Galatia; his companion of 7 years, Janet Parker and her two children; siblings, Lola Donoho of Salem, Wanda Brady and husband Jim of PA, Darrell Donoho and wife Brenda of Salem, Harvey Donoho and wife Gloria of Salem, and Tilley Donoho and wife Fern of Salem; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Melvin Edward “Sonny” Donoho; and sisters, Darlene Jourdan, Ada Williams, and Doris Phillips. Melvin owned and operated Donoho Tree Service. He was of the Christian Faith. Funeral services for Melvin Edward Donoho will be held on Friday July 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Bill Prince officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Salem. There will be a visitation on Friday at the funeral home from Noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bethlehem Cemetery and may be left at Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
