David William Burkhardt, age 70 of Salem, died at his home on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. David was born on August 22, 1949 in Great Falls, Montana, the son of Burton William and Harriet Martine (Seaton) Burkhardt. He is survived by a son, Jedidiah Burkhardt of California; sister, Dena Erwin of Xenia; brother, Norman Olson of Washington; grandson, Maxwell Burkhardt; nephews, Phillip M. Mosk of California and Steven W. Mosk of Hawaii and a great-nephew, Steven Mosk Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents. David was a member of the Woodlawn Church in Iuka. He worked as a handyman and took great pride in and enjoyed restoring vintage cars. No public services will be held. Memorials can be made to the Salem Animal shelter and can be received at the Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
