Obituary of Mary Alice Albert
Mary Alice (Tate) Albert, age 89 of Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
Mary was born on May 9, 1931 in Kinmundy, the daughter of Herbert R. and Myrtle Agnes (McElyea) Tate. She married Ralph L. Albert on February 21, 1948 in Salem and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet S. Albert and Kathryn R. Albert both of Salem; and one sister, Lillian Ruth Smith of Xenia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Everette Calvin Tate; and two sisters, Myrtle Maxine Elston and Vivian Ray Tate.
Mary was a member of First General Baptist Church in Salem. She was a long-time member of the Red Hat Society. She was a housewife, mother, housekeeper and worked for Brown Shoe Company.
Private Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Lloyd Slater officiating. Burial will follow at the Elder Cemetery in Kinmundy. Memorial contributions can be made to SSM Hospice, the First General Baptist Church in Salem, or the donor’s choice and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
