Amir Lane, age two months, passed away at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Amir was born on September 30, 2020 in Mt. Vernon. He is survived by his mother, Sabrina Lane of Salem; father, Malcolm Sherrill of Indiana; siblings, Kaniza Johnson, Melanie Sherrill, Kylan Sherrill and Isaiah Sherrill; grandparents, George and Melissa Arnold of Salem and Nathaniel Sherrill Sr. and wife Joe of Cahokia; uncles, Nathaniel Sherrill, Trevar Arnold and Zachary Arnold; and aunts, Nia Sherrill, Chasity Lane and Breanna Williams. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with David Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 8:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will be held in Lovells Grove (1880) Cemetery in Omega. Memorials can be made to the family for an education fund to be set up to benefit Kaniza’s college education.
