Russell Wayne Towler, age 86 of Iuka, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Salem Township Hospital. Russell was born on August 7, 1934 in Patoka, the son of Albert and Julia (Marohl) Towler. He married Lulu Belle Pitts and she survives in Iuka. In addition to his wife Lulu Belle Towler, he is survived by a daughter, Julie VanDuyne-Mueller and husband Kevin Mueller of Morris; two grandsons, Jake VanDuyne and Cade Mueller both of Morris; and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Dale, Donald and Robert. Russell was a barber for many years. He was of the Methodist Faith. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, farm life and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Iuka Fire Department and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
