Timothy Tyler, age 48 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at his home. Tim was born on February 3, 1972 in Olney the son of Andrew Jefferson “Andy” and Marilyn (Simpson) Tyler. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Tyler of Olney; five children, Tyresa, Arianna, Zachary, Zoey and Shayla Tyler all of Patoka; one brother, Jefferson Tyler and wife Jamie of Olney; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Jefferson “Andy” Tyler. Tim was a former City of Salem Police Officer, serving for 22 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sharing his love of the outdoors with his children and dog, Bella. A private graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield with Tim Loomis officiating. Memorial gifts can be made to Marilyn Tyler to be put into an educational trust for Tim’s children and can be received at the Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is in charge of arrangements.
