Madilynn Jade Hess, age 14 months, of Salem passed away at her home on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Madilynn was born on January 14, 2020 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the daughter of Kaitlynn Ruscher and Konner Hess and they survive in Salem. In addition to her parents, Madilynn is survived by her grandparents, Michael and Kathy Ruscher of Kell, Stacy Stephenson and husband Tim of Xenia, and Kelly Hess of Salem; great grandfather, Jim Hess and wife Janet of Salem; aunts and uncles, Christopher Ruscher of Breese, Maleah Durham and husband Adam of Salem, Kelsey Hess of Salem, Lelia Ernest and husband Brandon of Vandalia and Jersee Hess of Vandalia; and several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Kathy Lynn Ruscher; uncle, Kevin Ruscher; great-great grandmother, Ruth Beard; great-grandparents, George and Marian Ruscher; and great grandmother Ruth Ann Hess; and great-uncle George Ruscher Jr. Funeral Services for Madilynn Jade Hess will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Claude Howell officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
