David White, age 62 of Salem passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon. David was born on January 30, 1957 in Salem, Illinois to Ira Bud and Dorothy (Stowers) White. Survivors include, two sons, Justin White of Mt. Vernon and Robbie Phillips of Kingman, AZ; siblings, Christine Clark and husband Bruce of Dix, Ed White and wife Bekki of Parkersburg, Carolyn Harriman of Salem, Virginia Snodgrass of Salem, Jim White and wife Debbie of Kinmundy, Elaine Marker of Louisiana and Billy White and wife Debbie of Salem; one granddaughter, Kabella White; and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Mikey White, Susie Sample, Larry White and Cleta White. David was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for North American Lighting and as a construction worker. He was of the Christian faith. Graveside services for David White will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 10:30 am at the East Lawn Cemetery in Salem with Phil Martin officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the grave by the Salem American Legion. Memorials can be made to the family and will be received at the Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
