Obituary of Alice L Kelley
Alice L. Kelley, age 103 of Salem passed away on Thursday January 2, 2020 at Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.
Alice was born on July 1, 1916 in Bellaire, Ohio, daughter of John E. and Mary E (Mentz) Owens. She married James Willard Kelley on July 7, 1934 in Wellsburg, West Virginia and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter Kathryn May Kelley-Lang and husband Albert Thomas Lang of Bend, OR; a daughter in-law: Linda Kelley of Salem; grandchildren, Susan Morris and husband Roger of Salem, John Kelley and wife Tiffany of Salem, James Kelley and wife Analyn of CA; Kim Morris and husband Ty of CA, Marshall Lang and wife April of Hillsboro, OR, and Pam Koester and husband Eric of Bend, OR; also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, James William Kelley.
Alice loved the Lord and ministering to people and changing their lives. She did missionary work at local prisons for four years. Alice was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Salem. She was a welder in a machine shop during WWII and later worked as a bookkeeper and a caretaker.
Services for Alice Kelley will be held Saturday January 4, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Salem with Larry Clonch officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Salem and left at the Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
