Jesse Linder Prosise, age 63 of Park City, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Vista Medical Center in Waukegan, from conditions arising out of kidney failure. Jesse was born on July 17, 1956 in Lincoln, Illinois the son of Harvey Eldon and Shirley (Silvius) Prosise and grew up near Durand. He married Mary Lou Dow on May 15, 1976 and she preceded him in death on September 8, 2015. He is survived by his father, Harvey Eldon Prosise and wife Susan of Salem; two brothers, William Prosise and wife Lynette, David Prosise and wife Susan; three sisters, Cheryl Dullinger and husband Arthur, Kathy Mesch and husband Daryl and Esther Curry; five nieces; three nephews; three great-nephews; four great nieces and fiancé Susan Sweitzer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Prosise. Jesse worked in the comic book industry in distribution and service for many years. His lifelong love of music took him to the streets and stages of renaissance festivals, where he performed as a solo artist and in groups. After Mary Lou passed away on September 8, 2015, Jesse was able to fulfill his dream of working as a full time musician. He was much loved by performers and audiences from southern Florida to northern California, with performances in Illinois, Indiana, Alabama, Tennessee, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas in the last three years of his life. Although his kidneys had failed and he was on dialysis, he rarely complained about the hardships he faced. Jesse was always optimistic about his future, generous with his knowledge, patient, and kind. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family.
