Hazel “Pat” Irene Rawls, age 90 of Salem passed away at 10:00 pm on Wednesday February 19, 2020 at Doctors Nursing Home in Salem. She was born on August 14, 1929 in Kalamazoo, IN, daughter of William and Ethel Mae (Miller) Mason. She married Earl C. Rawls in Oklahoma. Earl preceded her in death. Hazel is survived by their daughter Kaye Shelby and husband Earl of Salem; three grandchildren, Bill Shelby and Tracey McDaneld and husband Jason, all of Salem, and John Harper of Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Billy Shelby and wife Emalee, Christopher Shelby and wife Nissa, Kaitlyn Harrison and husband Chase and Aaron McDaneld; and seven great-great grandchildren. Hazel was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her church and her church family. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Odin with Curt Matthews officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Gospel Lighthouse Church. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family.
