Steven “Steve” Rowcliff, age 60 of Salem, passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Steve was born on April 8, 1960, in Joliet the son of Bill and Wanda (Hull) Culp. He married Deanne (McDaniel) Rowcliff on August 3, 2007 and she survives in Salem. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Jenifer Rooney and husband Tim of Salem, Jaime Gray of Salem, Michelle Thompson of Longview, Texas and Riecie Marie Wilson, of Longview, Texas; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Julie Bumgarner and husband Raymond of Salem and Michelle Wheeler and husband Darrell of Houston, Texas; one brother, Johnny Kornegger and wife Patty of Beckemeyer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Wanda Culp; one sister, Kimberly Williams; and two nieces, Julia and Ashley Bumgarner. Steve worked as an over the road furniture mover for Atlas Van Lines and Dalton Trucking for several years, he was currently a forklift driver at XPO Logistics. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in keeping with the Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines, social distancing will be enforced. Memorials can be made to the Family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
