Obituary of Wesley Warren Hunter

Wesley Warren “Wheels” Hunter, age 14 of Salem, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021. Wesley was born on December 20, 2006 in Centralia the son of Ryan “Edgar” and Tiffany (Osborne) Hunter and they survive in Salem. In addition to his parents Edgar and Tiffany, he is survived by his brother, Charlie Hunter of Salem; grandparents, Dennis and Charlotte Osborne of Alma and Cindi Hunter of Brownstown; aunts and uncles, Marilyn O’Shea and husband Tim of Oak Forest, Todd Hogan and wife Missy of Iuka, John Hogan and wife Kim of Tunnel Hill, Rita Chlebek and husband Bob of Oak Forest, Ben Hunter and wife Stormy of Gordon, NE, and Veronica Schraer of Brownstown; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Cecil and Irene Lingle and Warren and Anna Osborne; grandpa, Ronald Hunter; and cousins, Eli Hunter and Matthew Hogan. Wes was full of life, he enjoyed the outdoors, bowling, kayaking, baseball, his Rubik’s cube, fishing, “mining”, parasailing, being with his friends and tagging along with his brother and his friends. He loved to cook and always enjoyed traveling. His bowling team, the “Fab Four”, had recently placed first at State, his Little League Team had also placed third at State. He was very intelligent and had a wonderful sense of humor. He had trained in jiu-jitsu at Pedigo Submission Fighting in Mt. Vernon. He was a member of Fouts Christian Church. A Celebration of Wesley’s Life will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the church. The family has asked that those in attendance wear casual apparel. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery in Alma. Memorials can be made to the Family for a future benefit in Wesley’s Memory and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
