Obituary of Steve Donoho

Loren Stephen "Steve" Donoho, age 63 of Salem, Illinois died January 15, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign-Urbana. Steve was born in Salem on April, 4 1957 to Loren & Lola Donoho. He attended Salem High School. He was a Journeyman Second Pressman at World Color Press from 1978-2001. Later he became a Shift Supervisor at Gilster Mary Lee of Centralia until retirement. Steve was known for his easy-going style, love of a joke and his quick wit. He was able to do anything he put his mind to and was so much like his father in the way that he could look at a problem, take his time to consider it and invariably work it out. He was willing to try anything. He always had a smile. His grin is probably what we will remember most when we think of Steve. He was a favorite uncle who loved children and always had time to tease and talk to the younger ones. The main thing that defined Steve was his heart. Everyone who knew Steve knew he had the biggest heart. A willingness to be there for anyone in need. Always ready to step in and give the shirt off of his back. He was the heart of the family. Always there with his smile. Dependable, loving and easy going while taking such good care of his mother. He will be missed dearly. Steve is survived by his mother, Lola Donoho also of Salem; his daughter, Heather Perruzzi of Tampa Florida; brother Don Donoho and wife Patti of Salisbury NC; sisters Vicki Royal of Southlake, TX; Terri Groff and husband John of Sandoval, IL; Cheri Taylor of Highland Village, TX; Tina Guyette of Flower Mound, TX; Lisa Lleras and husband David of Flower Mound, TX; Leslie TerHarr and husband Matthew of Lewisville, TX.; and 24 loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Funeral services for Steve Donoho will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
