Larry Sullivan, age 80 of Centralia, formerly of Salem, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home. Larry was born on March 4, 1940 in Alma, Illinois the son of Archie Leroy and Mary Louise (Thompson) Sullivan. He married Helen L. Brown on March 4, 1960 and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Helen Sullivan of Centralia; two daughters, Anita Kay McNeil and husband Delmer Sr. of Dyersburg, TN and Rhonda Louise Hanson and husband Mark D. of Centralia; four grandchildren, Trey McNeil and wife Amy, Meagan Sipes and husband Tristan, Miah Hanson and Josie Hanson; five great grandchildren, Tripp McNeil, Walker McNeil, Avery McNeil, Lane Sipes and Eli Sipes; granddaughter-in-law, Hannah McNeil; two brothers, Chuck Sullivan of Salem and Norman Sullivan and wife Aloma of Salem. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Delmer McNeil Jr.; two brothers and four sisters. Larry was a member of the Kinmundy United Methodist Church. He retired from Dickerson- Davis, where he worked for many years as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed slow-pitch softball and golf. Funeral services for Larry Sullivan will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with David Kueker officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the funeral home between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Sandy Branch Cemetery in Kinmundy. The family wishes to express their understanding with friends and family who may not feel comfortable attending. The service will be uploaded to the funeral homes website.
